A wonderful handmade glass tile mosaic starring a slinky black wildcat holding a cocktail. As far as I can tell, the piece is not signed. It is done very much in the style of Evelyn Ackerman and comes from a fantastic Ojai estate filled with iconic mid-century design. The hundreds of tiny glass tiles are individually arranged in a dynamic, stylish composition of blue and black with a few yellow flowers. It’s very well done and definitely a period piece from the mid-20th century. Edged in metal and mounted in a handmade wood frame, very heavy! Fantastic design and craftsmanship; a great piece for the collector. Normal wear consistent with age. No damage found to tile or grout. Small scuffs and scratches to frame.
