These pieces are straight out of my home. Please take a look at my other auctions. THIS IS A VINTAGE 1960’s SET, NOT A REPRODUCTION!! Don’t be fooled by the later knockoffs. These are the real deal… True vintage retro tables, manufactured in Europe, when quality was of the utmost importance. A beautiful pair of CHROME & GLASS stacking / nesting tables in wonderful vintage condition, with a stark minimalist look. Designed in 1964 by RONALD SCHMITT / TEAM FORM AG, this is their model K1. Retains original RONALD SCHMITT foil label. Positively identified from an original vintage Ronald Schmitt catalogue, see bottom photo. Streamlined sculptural design, with square 1/2 tubular frames, and smoke-colored glass. Tops fit snugly into frames, but lift out for transport. Exceptionally well-made, and extremely sturdy. Taller table measures 19.75″ x 19.75″ and 17.75 tall. Tempered glass tops have slightly beveled edges, and measure 3/8 thick. These are very clean examples, but for the sake of being extremely accurate, please remember that this set is gently used. Chrome frames are in very nice condition, with no pitting, but could benefit from a good polishing. Glass tops are extremely clean, but not mint. Tops have very very faint surface scuffs, only visible when viewed at an angle with perfect lighting. There is one small flake to the UNDERSIDE corner of the glass of one table, as shown in close-up pic, but absolutely no other chips, nicks, cracks, breaks, or hidden damage, and no repairs.
