Stunning set of 8 rocks glasses by Georges Briard. The stark white “Icicles” pattern is simply gorgeous and has an incredible, “raised” 3-D like texture to it. The pictures don’t do them justice. Heavier in weight, these glasses are solid and well-crafted. Truly a breath-taking set. Hallmarks: all glasses are signed “Georges Briard” in white. They appear to have never been used. Please note: Mid Century glassware often had tiny imperfections such as an extra spot of enamel or paint or a micro tiny bubble in the glass. Purely the nature of Mid Century glassware. This stunningly RARE mid-century cocktail set made by Georges Briard features an incredible hot air balloon design with doves and starbursts and the brutally honest saying “THE HIGHER YOU GO, THE HARDER YOU FALL” inscribed across all 3 pieces. What a statement straight from the middle of the 20th century. This gorgeous design is in gold leaf, teal and black and features a gold sponge paint effect over the glass. These mid-century Georges Briard gold sets were generally 22k leaf but I cannot say this for sure. Georges Briard was an American designer in the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. He is most well known for his signature dishware and glassware – everything from cups and plates to gold plated serving dishes. His signature collection was stocked at noted department stores, such as Neiman Marcus and Bonwit Teller.

Vtg Imperial Glass Shoji 4 Tall Tumblers/Highball Glasses (excellent condition, minimal wear on the gold) 22-K Gold, 4 Rocks glasses 22k gold, (some wear on the gold on these glasses, but displays beautifully). Imperial’s most desired mid-century design collections included the rich 22-karat gold Shoji design and rich 22-karat gold Sekai Ichi design. This listing is for 8 glasses, 4 highball and 4 rocks. Please take your time to review the photos closely as they are part of the item’s description; I do my best to ensure that the pictures show all aspects of the items, good and not so good, so that any noticeable flaws are visible. Pictures might not be the best judge of size when it comes to some items.
