Offered is a large CARL ERICKSON MID-CENTURY MODERN CONTROLLED BUBBLE PAPERWEIGHT BASE VASE IN THE RARE AMETHYST COLOR. Was made in Bremen, Ohio, from 1943 to 1961. Measuring 9″ tall with a top diameter of 9″, this stunning art glass vase is handmade with substantial thickness of app. It weighs in at app. The paperweight style base is filled with “controlled bubble” effect, and is solid, giving it a very sturdy presence. Some refer to the color as purple or grape. The overall condition is extremely good to excellent, with the only signs of wear being minute surface scratches only visible if activiely searching for them.
