EXQUISITE MID CENTURY SKLO UNION SMOKED GLASS RIPPLED TEXTURED VASE CZECH. EXQUISITE MID CENTURY MODERN CZECH ART GLASS VASE. Presenting an exceptionally large and impressive hand crafted art glass vase produced by one of the Czech Glassworks that formed a part of the Sklo Union. This stunning example has a wonderfully tall, sleek cylindrical shaped form, a magnificently rugged organic texture and sensational retro smoked colour. The sleek, clean-lined modernist form has a wonderful knobbly texture which adds an appealing texture to the design and spectacularly reflects the light, beautifully enhancing the exquisite sparkle of the glass. The rippled texture beautifully emphasises the sleek form while adding a dynamic sense of movement to the solid form. This piece is beautifully coloured with a smokey layer of glass encapsulated within the thick and chunky clear glass form. This Exquisite 1950’s Mid-Century Vicke Lindstrand Kosta Sweden Handblown Studio Bubble Vase is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or cloudiness. It probably has never been used. It is fully engraved on the bottom Kosta H19?? Lindstrand” and the original “Kosta Sweden label is still attached. The vase measures approximately 11-1/4 tall and tapers in size to the top. The widest part of the vase measures approximately 2-3/4″ in diameter and the top of the vase measures approximately 1-1/8″ in diameter. The colors of the vase are just lovely. From the bottom, the base is crystal clear with a controlled bubble, then the vase changes colors from yellow to gold to green and blue.
