Flygsfors Coquille Glass Bowl Orange White Signed Swedish Mid Century Modern Art. Very beautiful piece of mid century modern Swedish art glass that’s very heavy. The bowl has a couple of small lines pointed out in photos and marked with painters tape. These were done during the glass making process. There is also a light scratch on the underside and some on base. This is an amazing bowl that will add a pop of color to your decor! Length = 13.5″ Width = 8.75″ Height = 4 The bowl weighs 7 lbs. FLYGSFORS Mid Century Vase Sculpture Large 20 (Two Available)
I have available two of these Flygsfors coquille sculptures or vases about 20 high. The price is for each piece. A similar piece is pictured on page 130 in Fifties Glass by Leslie Pina and described as follows: Organic shape with four stretched appendages, the milk glass center cased with [orange] and clear crystal, and one of the most fantastic sculptural forms of the… Series, in which function is no longer taken seriously. Indeed, these pieces are more sculpture for display, rather than a true vase. The colors are green, white and clear glass. The bottom is engraved Flygsfors 63 on one and Flygsfors 58 on the other, plus Coquille on both. The Coquille mark is not pictured. The designer artist is Paul Kedelv. The condition is excellent, with some scratches on the bottom, consistent with age. There are no cracks or chips. This is an iconic piece of late 50’s, early 60’s Swedish art glass, ideal for the discerning collector. I also have the same vase in pink and white, not yet listed.
