MayKaj Franck, Set of six 1950’s mouth blown purple shot glass, Vintage Nuutajarvi
Kaj Franck designed these absolutely lovely small single serving shot glasses in 1954. Manufactured in Nuutajärvi glassworks. There is some color variations in my photos but that’s mostly due to how the sun light goes through the glasses and from which direction you view them. Glasses are thin mouth blown glass. Height is 6 cm (2’35) and glasses hold approx. Please note: there are some size variation as they are hand made. In good vintage condition. Signs of use are minimal. No chips missing or cracks. MayKaj Franck, 1950’s picnic set with colored glasses and rattan basket Nuutajarvi
Kaj Franck designed juice set with six tumblers 5023 and pitcher 5601 in a rattan basket in 1950’s and it was produced until mid-1960’s in Nuutajärvi, Finland. There are three colors of glasses. Blue, amber and grey. The pitcher is turquoise. The rattan basket is in good condition without any notable defects. It is old so please keep in mind that it has some stains but I can see only one snapped piece of rattan so it’s really nice condition. The glasses and pitcher has been previously used. As they are thick pressed glass there can be seen traces of use such as surface scratches. These signs of use are not visible in normal setting but can be seen if glass is inspected against powerful light. There is also few deeper scratches that can be seen in normal use and one or two of them are in the rim. There are no chips missing or cracks. Glasses stand approx 8 cm tall (3’05). Pitcher stands 14 cm tall (5’5). Glasses hold 18 cl (6 Oz). Rattan basket is approx 23 cm (9) tall with a lenght of approx. I wrap carefully and all my items are insured for lost or broken. AprKaj Franck, pair of 1960’s rare valuable handmade art glass goblet Nuutajarvi
Designer Kaj Franck, Nuutajärvi Finland. Pair of “Pokaali” art glass goblets from 1960’s. Is this the most beautiful goblet ever produced? In my opinion, yes. Art glass with a fuction. You can use these to enjoy your favorite drink or use them as an interior design objects. The decision is yours. Rare collector item as this version was never in full production but only produced as a gift for Wärtsilä’s sub-division employers. The cup is clear glass. It’s stem is made of full glass pieces of blue and clear glass and the stand is ametyst (alexandrite) glass meaning it changes it’s color depending on the lighting. Also the way colors reflect through the clear parts in different light make them change colors. In my photos the clear glass above the blue part seems to be brownish but it’s actually clear glass with tint of color and lots of reflections. In good vintage condition with only minimal signs of use. No chips, no cracks and no repairs. I was really happy when I saw these glasses. I’m sure you will be also. This series was never signed. There might be small traces of dirt or fingerprints. Wash glasses before use. I advice to wash by hand not in the machine. If the calculator shows you double postal please send me a message. This is a beautiful Kaj Franck Nuutajärvi Notsjö signed glass goblet. It is large standing approximately 8 1/2 inches & the top is 19 1/2 inches around at the widest. The top opening is 4 3/4 inches. The orange has some swirls that I couldn’t capture in the photos. Direct light makes the light blue ring pop (not as blue when there isn’t a light). Free of chips & cracks.
