DecGunnel Nyman, Pore, glass pitcher and 5 drinking glasses, Nuutajarvi 1950’s
Designed in 1949 and manufactured until 1960’s by Nuutajärvi glassworks. 5 drinking glasses and a pitcher. There is small differences is sizes so there are 3 + 2 glasses with same shape. Designed by talented Gunnel Nyman. Hand blown clear glass with controlled bubbles inside forming a beautiful texture. Set of 3 glasses are 8.5 cm tall with a diameter of 7 cm. Set of 2 glasses are 8.5 cm tall with a diameter of 6.5 cm. Pitcher is 17.5 cm tall. In good vintage condition. All glasses are without cracks and with only minimal signs of use. Pitcher has only small surface scratches not visible unless closely inspected in a bright light. No cracks, grayness or repairs. Some of the controlled bubbles might be near the rim and these are not to be considered as cracks but broken bubbles due to the manufacturing process. I post world wide and wrap with care. AprGunnel Nyman for Nuutajärvi Notsjö mid-century large serpentine vase
Beautiful artist vase, signed G. Nuutajärvi Notsjöe on the bottom. From a local Florida estate which was full of fine objects. 16 tall, and very heavy. Designed with a minimal. White serpentine swirl starting from the bottom and rising to the top. A Scandinavian piece from the 1950’s. Condition: no chips, cracks, or damage. Bottom has a few light scratches from use and there is a small exterior scratch as pictured, see the signature photo for bottom abrasions. Actually not as bad as it may seem from the magnified picture. The interior 1-2 inches bottom of the vase has water residue and we have detailed photos of this. Since art objects have a subjective value, we are certainly willing to consider your best offer. We would love for this item to find an appreciative home. Feel free to ask questions.
