Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage laurel mushroom lamp. Circa’60s /’70s. The base is chrome (metal), and the mushroom shade is an opaque glass. It’s all original. The socket and on/off switch need to be replaced as the old one was no longer functioning, and was removed by the previous owner. With the shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 17.5″ tall x 13″ wide. The shade alone measures approx. 6.5″ tall x 13″ in diameter. The bottom of the base measures approx. 5.25 in diameter. Condition: The lamp is cosmetically in great shape. There are a few small light superficial scratch marks on the base – they are very light… Can be buffed out or just left alone – they never bothered us as they’re not overly detectable. They do not interfere with the display of the lamp in our opinion, and are solely being mentioned for accuracy. Otherwise, the base is free from dents, dings, repairs, rust, oxidation, etc. The shade is in great shape as well – no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. Currently, there is no electrical socket – it needs to be replaced as the old one was shot. This is in easy fix that any qualified electrician or lighting shop can handle. The original electrical cord is still there, and appears to be in fine shape. As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having the wiring checked by a licensed professional prior to long-term use. Please ask them and we will respond back to you in a timely manner.
