WORKING Vintage Atomic Age / Danish Mid Century Modern Pole Light Tension Lamp. Three (3) glass shades, in white, pinkish, and blue. There is a twist light switch on the pole which can be twisted for three. Lighting settings as shown in photos. The pole has 4 sections. The bottom 2 sections of the pole, and the top tension piece are all brown, the part where the lights are attached is a brass color. This is how these were made and is not a defect. Shown in a home with 88 ceilings. Measures about 84 to 85 tall when completely compressed. Extends to a maximum height of 89 maybe 90 before you will start losing stability. Functionally the tension pole has lots of spring to it and as shown in photos, the lights turn on and work. You may or may not want to eventually re-wire it just because the cord is old. I cannot guarantee the longevity of how long it will continue working, but these things were built to last so it will probably be fine. Cosmetically it is in used, but overall fairly well preserved, pre-owned condition. Came from the home office/den of a recent estate sale. I only wiped it off with just a quick once over with a wet washcloth, but you will probably still be able to clean it up a bit further. Overall, it has metal wear and age fading along with some chips, nicks and marks. The glass of the pink/peach colored shade has a small area that seems to be missing color, but it really isn’t noticeable overall in my opinion. The top light also is missing it’s wood accent piece, which also means that the bulb socket for that lamp is loosely attached inside the shade. The actual light assemblies are tightly attached to the lamp pole, and can be adjusted for different angles of lighting. Nothing major in my opinion, but please see photos since my aesthetic opinion may be different than yours. Please review all pictures and full description carefully.
