This is a beautiful glass table lamp made in the 1950s in the famous Seguso factory on the Island of Murano in Venice. The glass is skillfully hand blown and the design includes wonderful twists and bubbles in shades of pink and clear glass. I bought the lamp from an antique lighting shop in Notting Hill in 2002. (Fabulous place – 3 floors of the most beautiful vintage lighting). The lamp was rewired with a full brass bulb holder with an on/off switch plus new wire when I bought it, and is still in perfect working order. Height (to base of fitting) 33cm (13inches).
