This listing is for a STUNNING pair of vintage Murano Sommerso Art Glass large figural apple and pear bookends by Alfredo Barbini. These gorgeous bookends have beautiful internal “gold mica” (Aventurine) flakes encased within a thick clear glass body with controlled bubbles (Bullicante) design. The pieces are further embellished with applied clear glass leaves with internal gold mica on edges. Each piece i s in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or noted damage. These high quality art glass bookends do not have their original Barbini, Murano Italy labels, however, we have had another set with original labels so we are sure of this attribution. Apple measures 3 1/4″ high and 4″ in diameter. Pear measures 6 1/4″ high and 3 1/2″ wide. Combined weight is 4.8 pounds. If you collect Murano glass, you will love this gorgeous pair of bookends!
